Each lid comes with a high grade platinum-cured silicone gasket to prevent any leaks, and a filter patch for air exchange. They are autoclavable, heavy duty, reusable, and work awesome!
Pro tip: Screw the lids on loosely so the silicone seal presses lightly on the jar rim. This will prevent possible warping of the sides of the lid while pressure cooking. Tighten immediately upon removal from a pressure cooker.
